displayed at the slip gallery in new york city.
this series showcases a transient experience of cross-continental exploration, both inter-culturally and personally. my mediums of choice include printed imagery, foreign documentation, audio recordings, video, diary pages, and relics of fleeting stays.
my work is a crossroads of contemplation and identity. I look for moments that reveal people in their corner of the universe, placing them at the center of my curiosity.
much of this series was created during a long-term solo trip across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. at the outset, I shaved my head — a gesture that marked my confrontation with solitude, perception, and transformation. My work is a reflection on finding the tenderness in impermanence, the stillness amid chaos.
this body of work exists to remember — to face the fragility of existence and the beauty in the mundane. it serves as a reckoning and release while I grapple with understanding the world and my place within it.
together with the two other exhibiting artists, I produced, financed, curated, and executed this event — shaping the vision, handling logistics, and ensuring everything came to life smoothly.
